Patricia Luz, MA. CCC-SLP
Certified Speech Language Pathologist
Patricia received her Masters degree in the area of Communication Disorders from the University of Oregon in 2004. Her interest in becoming a Speech Pathologist, however, started years before while she was a student at University of California Santa Barbara. At that time she was a Linguistics major and had an outside job of being a 1:1 assistant to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Between those two things she developed the desire to learn all that she could about language, its breakdowns and finally how to access language through sensory based components. More recently, she has become involved in the remediation of articulation, in helping children learn about letters, their sounds, and ultimately reading. She feels that it is incredibly fulfilling to watch children gain access to language and to use language to gain knowledge about life! Patricia will be providing speech therapy to children in the Yamhill county area in Oregon.
